Exhibition yields positive result:

Inventions from the Ravensburg district net 1 gold and 2 silver medals
Ravensburg From 31.10. to 02.11.2008, the international inventors exhibition took place in Nuremberg. At the joint stand of the Ravensburg district WIR (association for the promotion of industry and innovation), a total of four inventors from the Upper Swabia/Allgäu inventors club Ideas from the South presented their latest products. Two of the developers from the Ravensburg district were awarded silver and gold medals for their innovative ideas.

Bernhard Traube from BOLZ INTEC GmbH in Eisenharz Argenbühl received the silver medal for his emission module for boosting the effectiveness of air heating and air conditioning systems via the release or absorption of infrared radiation, and the gold for a new BOLZ electropolishing technique for stainless steel.

Among the other medal winners was the company romonit OHG from Weingarten, for the development of a new mildew prevention device. Managing Director Michael Kappler was delighted: It was our first visit to the exhibition, so winning a silver medal was a fantastic achievement. He was also pleased with the new business contacts cultivated at the event: We have some promising leads to follow up, adds Kappler.
Inventions by Johannes Harlacher from Argenbühl and Rolf Schiller from Ravensburg also met with great interest among the specialist public. At the end of the event, a certificate of special merit was awarded by the expert jury for a weaning device for cows and a battery back-up device for motor vehicles. WIR Managing Director Hans-Joachim Hölz joined the inventors in expressing his delight at the positive overall outcome of the exhibition: Despite international competition, the inventions and developments by members of our inventors club have continued to uphold the Ravensburg districts reputation as a hotbed of innovation.
